Aligned with nature-
becoming a child-
so trusting, secretive,
even – a wild,
eager to read
every leaf’s heart,
notice and follow
slope of the bud
cryptic deer will
meet you at path,
grass-hopper pop,
holding sword-grass…
nature confides:
straightened trees
paint scenes
of heavenly reefs
nature confides:
heading a lira-
speed shifting world
could I voice clear…

DeleteThis reads so well, humbird. It kind of made me want to skip. And I love nature poetry. (and hummingbirds).
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy, Victoria! skipping with you! :)
DeleteThis had a hippity hop rhythm due to the dimeter lines. It was very effective. The use of rhythm here added to the dimension and word choices of the poem itself. Nice. Thank you.
