Cathartic talk

 'Catharsis' by Ashim Sagor
'Catharsis' by Ashim Sagor

"…I’m wistful for my kin of the spirit”
                                  Ezra Pounds

We're trying to connect
throwing/launching the anchor,
mooring to a harbor.

Closer. Louder. Risky
thoughts touch the sand,
smell a seaweed…
Hark! Seagull cry…

The peace in jeopardy.
Half-word…half-breeze…
Broken link.  Silence.
Go ponder. Whole world
between,

Universe of feelings
separates, match,
mingling: “It’s me, hi!”
Feels/thinks right –
We …

the bank of promises
where love - arrested,
with the highest motive
in wistful eyes.

  3. Like a boat to a shore. Never thought of Love like that. When we don't align correctly, there is a "whole world between." Do you drop anchor anyway?

  4. Can be quite the distance between when things are a bit scrambled, hopefully that bank collects though

  6. Yes, I do think that in some ways we all strive to connect - somehow want to find a way to be together rather than alone in our separateness.

Perfect ending humbird! Yes, one can't really be sure can we! Lots are hidden behind the wishful eyes!

  14. How clever- I love how you paired the photo and the poem! I too believe it is the connections that make us human~

  15. I guess human connections include all that you've said. Sometimes though, the silence speaks its own language. I enjoyed your poem very much.
