The crisis

 Art by Michael Chesley Johnson
Art by Michael Chesley Johnson

At the righteous judgment
at the point of no return,
we emit the gripe of insight
reached no goal,
but a beautiful nothing
receiving at gate
yet in a rounded frame
with number 13
a memorial
the message from angels
…..
you were beating around the bush
dragging your feet
creating the reason to stay longer
at the party
delaying the death
your only real stall of truth
in the material world.

  1. Hi Hum, I love the second part about the real stall of truth and am working backwards from there. Because your title means to me the highest moment of plot tension, a second before the truth is revealed, delay is what the two parts have in common. Emit the gripe? I think these two are at the end of a relationship, and one knows the party is over while the other is trying to be in a different story. Blame it on bad luck. Well done!

  2. somethings you just want to keep going...to stall for...to hold back the truth (as if we could) though no amount of dragging hte feet will hold it back...

  3. This made me think that after a while you tolerate the state of crisis and it becomes comfortable in a way and hard to move on from..because we have to decide what to do next..thank you for making me think about that

  5. The painting appears to be upside down?
I like the drama of these words, the failed procrastination revealed.

    1. As the painter said: it does have a sense both way. I just chose upside down one. ~ Thanks.

  7. Sometimes I think in the end much is a 'beautiful nothing.' No matter how long we stay at the party.
