Meanderings

 The Art by Liza Corbett
Art by Liza Corbett

…she thrusts thorns-
the vulnerable rose-
it’s the only choice
to bullet the foreign
horses
to make them stop
on the dismal spot
of slippery edge.

new path
will be unlocked
on the other side
of the hill land.

follow,
roll
magic ball,
listen for
a signal,
enroll.

Plenty of meanderings
on the road…

  1. Of course it's the only choice. Be sharp, or get pricked.

To 'break' an untrained horse will really take a bother. It is no easy task! Great lines humbird!

  4. Very strange illustration/art. it makes me think of the maze of the miniator, and then the surreal meanderings of the poem have purpose. Wolves in women's clothing?

  5. I always admire abstract writing, which taps into the emotions far more than into the visual part of the brain. I enjoyed this piece very much.

  6. What an interesting set of images you paint.. And with that picture you really made it a sinister reading too.. I like it.
