Ambitions

The lawn ~ courtesy of Mindlovemisery's Menagerie

I thought if I would wear the suit
of green poke-prickly tree,
you’d find the goal for New Year roll
with ease of nosy bee…

But all set up to fly the sky
you stare from podium:
squeezed tight, blur sight imagined kite,
forgetting ground adieu…

  7. Oh, I thought the kite decided to wear the tree, as kites are apt to do. But, that would be a perfect place to fly a kite. Very nice.

  9. One can only wait so long for roll call in front of a podium .... especially when one has the wings and tail to fly! and is not a tree!

  11. Sometimes those bare arms barely move and yet other times they sway all day.
(In our winters here... This morning some swayed with the weight of the squirrels which I hadn't seen for a few days - it was just too cold!)

Would if we all could just for moments forget the ground...
Nicely done. Thanks so much for stopping by my verse.

  17. Wearing the suit of tree might be rather nice as trees stand for strength. May you have strength in the new year.
