Stuffer

Starry Night by Alex Ruiz

I forgot
to put the canvas on
the tripod
fortunately
the evening sky
with stars, constellations,
new moon
were on

the cliff
of my rickety mind
with half rifted
bones
in flight
longing for challenge
sustained
in meditative mode

the faces/baffles
of flowers
on the field
reflected
the moon.
-Aha!.. – I sighed,
immediately
slammed the eyes.-
Millions necks
turned to my side.

Smiling to absence
of a common
language and cart,
I realized being one
of them.
The flower,
under one big moon
with only difference:
I took it for granted…

For the first time
I started to see myself
in new light…

“People look like flower
at last” C. Bukowski

  2. I have always loved to see others bloom. Whether it is your own children growing up or indeed seeing others mature in a new light.

Suddenly it is a discovery. People might strive for it but many may be disappointed! Nicely humbird!

  8. Sometimes it is much better to become part of a painting. Becoming a flower is a good start.

  9. Only with compassion and love can we be the gardener and see our fellow human beings as flowers -- and we need to water them gently with words, and gently pruning for correction.

  10. What a delightful opening, you have such a way of pulling your word list right into a spellbound magpie. Always fitting.

  12. It's amazing how you took those words to construct a thought provoking poem. I think we are all flowers in the meadow of life..each one special.
