Choice

Joel Robinson's photo

You said: “Nice to see you…”
The wobbles have run
prolonged and sparse-
a distortion occurred…

impulsive heart
assumed this farce
as a message of love…

swaying in a bubble,
cured old wounds,
resist
feeling morose…

a magnetic power of choice…

  1. The bubble can represent so many things - I'm reading it as a changing element that rises on the shifting tide.

  4. Curing old wounds is, I think, a major purpose of wobbly bubbles as they show shaky premises and unsteady footing. Plus, the laughter ...and the surprise of the ones who mean to deceive. Interesting update.

  12. First, I LOVE the image you chose to illustrate your poetry. And then, I'm enchanted by how your poem sings of the true value of free will... Some of the things we do might turn out to be a mistake. But how lucky are we to be able to make mistakes that are truly ours...
