November

November sweeps,
Cleaning,
Shuffling the leaves -
a custodian,
his lisping voice
colliding vowels
in crispy air,
the clouds
bear sorrow, despair,
triggered the mystery
of expulsion
lives and deeds;
tapping in greeting attempt
the knees of
surrounding curbs,
he wrings twigs’ wrists,
turns outward dreams,
inviting to miracle
divination event,
asking: what for
you wish
to experience
a shining 'aha' moment…

                                       *

November swaggers
leaf through the lives
happily.

  12. a vivid personification of the month!
this reminds me of the cleaner working in a park near my home. he sweeps all before him, leaves, twigs, paper, plastic. and he will be back the next day. :)

  16. Enjoyed your delightful word picture of November as custodian sweeping leaves...it made me smile (and my high schooler ask, "why the line about a miracle?") ah, the miracle of extra-ordingary moments in our ordinary days :)
