Day canto

                 “Sunset like the grasshopper flying”.
                                                         Ezra Pound.

Twisted arms over a head…
Spera voices…
Hopping steps to the bath…
I feed grapes to the ladybug…
while get lost in your poems,
in their flux…

Apple-rape, my emotional day
finds me clinging for
the hands and arrows,
choosing gps-shorter/faster path.

Atmosphere of caring yet royal
tolerance and grace,
switching levels between
high and low,
changing ‘locks & dams’.

Someone gets wax-poetic
watching hands-swans in play;
look for rhythm/melodic patterns
when your life on display.

On the way back –
a buzzing hand of egg timer
Deja vue – uncompleted desires,
obligations, encounters, tasks…
Pure suggestions:
‘Find your flow’, ‘Be real’,
‘Touch the ground’,
and all 24 hours:
‘Get optimized’.

  1. That is some emotional day ~ I specially like this part:

    Someone gets wax-poetic
    watching hands-swans in play;
    look for rhythm/melodic patterns
    when your life on display.

  2. I could feel the ups and downs of the day in this and how poetry could become the stabilizing force, perhaps. And how life can become a poem in its own right.

    1. Well, it's the everyday experience. Influences- everywhere, how to escape? ~ Thanks, Bjorn!

  4. I like the idea of getting optimized. We all need to find a way to do this...whether we take the shorter/faster path or the longer/slower path which shows us more scenery. Smiles. It is great, however, to get lost in poetry along the way.

  6. This poem flew weaving in out of separate times - timers - clocks, the now, the then, the words and acronyms so current, then feel of nature so eternal. Wonderful.

    1. Indeed, time - the new magic in our time! We're rapidly approaching the shift of boundaries past/present/future when the subject will be manifested in now...~ Thank you very much for stopping by! Much appreciated! :)x

  7. Ups and downs of the day as it weaves away, can sure lead one to have quite the day. But we have to unhook here and there indeed

  13. Irene, reading your words here again played into many emotions! My favorite lines are
"hand swans in play ... when your life is on display" - swans love a show! Some times we can become stuck instead of putting in place what we might need. --enjoyed your poem my friend~! --joanie

  18. This is gleefully intriguing. Wish I could get a glimpse of your mind when you wrote it. I love the image of feeding a ladybug grapes; also liked this passage a lot-

    Apple-rape, my emotional day
    finds me clinging for
    the hands and arrows,
    choosing gps-shorter/faster path.

    Best,
