Edges

You said: we must cut
the sharp edges
to smooth the life of
the risk and trial
(in your near-sight-
edness)…

Instead we got double
efforts, and querying:
how to overcome
underwater rocks
and craters, escape
the pokes of
wicked spindle…

you said: now,
in no time,
we can afford
the lethargic sleep
for (another?) 100 years…

  12. I like the continuity and eternity that we can probably never earn that sleep or rest. A cool write.

  14. Sounds to me like something went wrong, our efforts wasted and so we all just sink back into lethargy and feel we needn't worry about things for another century or so... although we should act now.
Am I completely off-track with my interpretation?
