Sail your smile in the air *

'Sail Boats' by Valda Fitzpatrick ~ pinterest.com

When early cheerful birds break the eggshell of morning
routinely mingle with clock’s ‘tick-tock’, - the bustle enliven me, even if I’ve been drinking only one cup of coffee yet lit   up lavender candle with late regret of suspended moment…

When early cheerful birds scattered to first morning class,
the school attendant, not placid crow cowing - proclaims silence – the rain desired before, dies… leaving nondescript grey remnants in air to the discretion of magpie tales and quirks….

Along with birds
Mimicking “I’m great” pose,
I sail my smile in the air…

* Note: the title - the line from the poem by Kahlil Gibran

Stargazer's tallest cap
cheers many stars arrived
to celebrate a fall.

she - fall...

She – fall-
          ing with
                   a tree…
                             yellow…
                                      maple…
leave after  leave,
the fantasy
of free
chains changing
to field;
recollection begins,
when between eyes
of two alike days
the lightning glimpse
with sunny rain,
or first frost at
                                        crispy track
alters/creates
a new pattern,
the mark
of new facet.

Its music reminds
the ancient revels’ flow,
the prophecy/foliage
at the earth altar
autumn will throw.

Carving soul

d'Verse Poetic ~ Carved in stone

I’ve sensed your soul
in the depth of the
century

Promoted the den(s) city
to family falling
rocks, mountains

Shoulders, spine bent
long ears – open
to farewell

Crushed
in the grinder
of age

A m a z e… we found
unconsciously follow
in the spiral
of carving…

Synesthesia

Pablo Picasso. Music painting

“Why do two colors,
Put one next to the other
Sing?...”
P. Picasso

                        1.
I speeding up every time
Nearby the Hwy 169
A coffee shop.

                   2.
I swiftly sink
In the flowerbed
Such a fresh aroma.

                   3.
His eyes caught the smell
The particles of burnt out maple leaves
Landed on the asphalt.

                   4.
I saw your breath
Sahara warmth
My shoulders loose.

                   5.
Radiant aura
Around treetop on the hill
When she spoke.

                   6.
Heavy steps on the stairs
In her heart chamber
Still knight approaching.

Edges

You said: we must cut
the sharp edges
to smooth the life of
the risk and trial
(in your near-sight-
edness)…

Instead we got double
efforts, and querying:
how to overcome
underwater rocks
and craters, escape
the pokes of
wicked spindle…

you said: now,
in no time,
we can afford
the lethargic sleep
for (another?) 100 years…

Vacillate no more!

George Tooker, self-portrait

fantasy

My place, where I live now, is in the ravine.
Any wondering anemic katydid delays the leap, when sense the twitching placenta over it….

Once inexplicable melancholy took hold on me. I found in a stash the written mantra. It assisted me in the transformation…

The shell – an artifact, belong now to the museum of human limitations.

Metamorphosis
Human intervention
Shell limits.

To ride or not to ride...

photography-on-the-net

Wasn't it odd?
tracing the patterns,
curves
through vicinity -
pond erring
shorebirds
on the mudflats,-
we pandered
our whimsy.

Wandered on dunes,
between the cabins,
the distance -
illusion,
natural wonders
behind
the thin wall
of a reason...

One of a kind

If you asked for a chocolate, but got only the lemons – grimaced, teeth set on edge - keep on walking on the curb, bypassing the debris of the construction area – open unpaved road/skin, wind world wide…

‘corn candy hot tube’,- he’s saying distinctly and point in a new school’s direction, red with orange blues leaves installation,
‘so they’ll melt then…why?’ – she shrugs, hands endless in air.

The sun highlighting preschooler’s smile, and nearby cloud become a face of someone familiar from afar…

Enchanted road!  See! – the staring deer, not asking for tickets yet; a turkey, crossing the road in a rush; a dog on the grass – the face sealed with white royal stamp, - hosting the morning,  his invisible human stopped him from ranting…

The trees whispering fall foliage forecast, - still time to change…
The mystery lives just next to my neighborhood –

Nature and human
Vulnerable, wise
One of a kind.

Time lingo

wallartidea.com

You woke me up. Instead of weightless soft lips - gimleting text buzz, ricocheted off in the right hip. The vibes have shifted. The recent changes I’ve gone through seemed were not enough…

For only one day I've lost a new, only 3 months old job, but acquired 4 new students. Time indeed got squeezed. Though the headlight accidently was set with 60 sec. delay, as said the mechanic at the dealership.

There were no emotions produced by thoughts. I hung in limbo, remembering to breathe. Only by evening, exchanging messages with the friends, crying and laughing simultaneously, I felt a relief.

The new day’s rain drummed cheerfully on the tops of the roofs, celebrating last days of Mercury retrograde.
The growing can be lighthearted…

Intermission…
Only a reflection pause
Before a new act.

Twilight of memory *

Khalil Gibran ~ autoportret ~ 1911

…While reaching the hilltop they began to climb and dance,
 tired lambs turned in painless…
Once discovered, the path was already on the other side
of threshold of mind…

Deeper song
when life and death are one
sea between souls

* Note: written for d'Verse Haibun Monday2, hosted by Bjorn, inspired by Khalil Gibran quotes.

Clocked threat

Watch his erotic hands…
They high-light the fragments,
Poke with the needle threat
Our lives & whims.

Eye for Eye -
Days gone dark,
Leaves change colors
As the thief – gloves & dreams.

Recollection

Sabin Balasa. Freedom in the Aquarium, n.d. WikiArt

The fort open wood gate
uneven sand paths

When sun swiftly surfed
beneath pastel skies

Free versed we cruised
as the black swans of sea

In earthy aquarium
the splatters of we.

*

Sun surfing.
Aquarium. Earth.
Reversed time
cruised under
focal, the pastel blue sky -
reminiscing joy.

Soul Song

I’m humming…
When a body put
a pressure on me,
when its conditional
chain armor shows
in disguise
ostensibly
the programmed,
squeezed,
frozen me…

I’m humming…
an eye into sky,
a beak knocks
in the glass
helmet –
I’m humming…
yellow in the blue,
penetrating
the time, dimensions
step skipping, leap,
flit flutter fly
through leafs, lives,
the transient
path…

A touch

Lion love

When I touch him…
a chin lies on the chest,
swelled love drops,
foggy thoughts,
leaning toward,
asleep…
while music on,
people move
in the rhythm flow..

When I touch him -
He awakes.

When I touch
his shoulders
offering to heal…
what was that
challenged him,
his creative will,
what’ve come up
as a block
to protect the past,
to resist the change…

 “Everything I touch
let become a gold”
mantra/chant/exhale
Let the issues go;
open to be healed
let the light in.
