Cloudy moments

'Snowstorm' by Maurice de Vlaminck

They stand weak-kneed, altered,
the grey-blue dim fright,
tears-icicles stuck
in the tops.

Still flutter, the life pirouetting,
spills stained laughter on
forgotten stumps/logs.

Aligned to walls,
guard lifeless silence,
neglected desires’
inner child.

Considered miserable,
the final decision
postponed, passed on to
snow storming
vagrant.

  1. The inner child can get neglected in many indeed

  2. You crafted a creative scene, with such a demanding bunch of words- my favorite scene is this- Still flutter, the life pirouetting, spills stained laughter on
    forgotten stumps/logs. So vivid.

  3. A haunting freeze, of emotions, passion and maybe eventually life itself, what an expertly written piece

    Have a good week

  4. Good capture of image.. Enjoyed where the words took me so quickly passed the trees, the journey to the far off horizon.

  5. Intriguing - and rather moving - take on the prompt.

  6. Well woven interpretation of the image. Our world holds far too many neglected inner children awaiting warmth that seldom comes.
