She was a reason

painting by Cesar Santos~The Mag

She was a reason
a sun peekaboo through the twigs
at morning,
when all
chickadees & magpies
flew to the market
at noon, -
a kefir
at the tongue/
fasting days,
trembling trees
from the open wide
window shutters
at 5 corners
with a bee
and apples rewards
at twilight...-
reminiscent view
from the distant age
through the shades
of maturity wisdom.

The colors,
palette
intervened
simultaneously
formed a white
solitude,
all ‘why’ and
prelude to excel
at boulevard
no-returning
to judge
clipped wings
and curfew,
nor occasional
meetings & dates,
lessons learned,
deeds postponed
for another path,
letters sent one way
home.

Mrs. Karma, elusive
folks looking for you
in recalled
Deja vu
blame
a just
aftermath.

  1. I like the opening to this and the image of the sun peekaboo through the twigs at morning. Mrs Karma is one to watch for I think.

  2. I too like the opening lines ~ She sure is an elusive muse but I wouldn't want to cross her, I think ~

  3. Karma is elusive to those who choose to ignore. It benefits the believers apparently!
