Collection

wall321.com

In the midst of July stride
post dawn, but a chance
to climb the hill
embracing wind & sun,
the heat will come in
later, veiling the skin.

I’m breathing in
the mown lawn,
frogs prayer in the morn,
woodpecker’s Morse code,
and moan of every leave
outstretched under my feet.

I keep within collected sighs,
a grid to recall and complete
my path as another life or
god’s caprice…
when time is ripe
and tired shadows
rest under the trees…

  1. Life's journey in July can be revealing on one's feelings. Truly said humbird!

  4. Did the woodpecker tell you anything good with its Morse code?

  5. Ah yes, vivid lines, and breathing in fresh mowed grass is delightful!

  6. I have been sitting on the back deck - listening to the wood peckers. It has been so rainy it has changed the sound of his knocking. This is the second one today that I have felt a sigh at coming to later in life - content perhaps.
