Obsession

 Art by Danny Gregory
Art by Danny Gregory

Keep the morning tea
warm,
all the rest remnant
pieces
throw away to the ants’
joy.
I remember sea storm,
late breakfast
as if last one,
coy.

Mix  for new friend
a cocktail,
fashioned swimsuit –
worn,
set the fruit & fish
table,
yet, keep a tea
warm.

Let a wind
to chase a
seagull,
blow the hat
and news…
Sudden,
my appearance
tricks you –
warm tea spilling
blues.

  7. nice...perhaps something will lap up the spilt tea...I really like the tossing the scrap to the animals...that way it does not go to waste...I do that at our house...I look at it as a way of giving back....

  12. There is a soothing flow in this, a rhythm accented a bit with the one-word lines and the repetition of the injunction to keep the tea warm--that can mean so many things.
