New moon

It’s summer.
Beginning of June,
but feels sooner
as May…
new moon
approaches
transparent brook,
highlighted
the shadows
brown, indurate;

pensively
traces you,
floating in different
spaces and views,
showered in color -
celestial rain
fairy tales;
caresses with
whimsical
angle...

this gaze...-
a mirror effect,
recognizing
familiar
character traits,
but where I  put
the ellipsis
and permit
to wait –
you start
new story,
your version
of life,
taste of
glory
and need
to survive.

  1. Survival from beginning to end, is sure a trend and technically, summer doesn't start until the 21st at many a sea haha

  2. where i put the elipses and pause...while they start the story...and we each choose our path as we make our way through it all...love the visual in that first stanza...the new moon...the brook, the shadows, nice.

  6. Odd that noon once meant midnight and close enough to the poles we may see a midnight sun... some things take time to reach us in our meteorological summers or the madness we see or imagine a the full moon... again the sky reversed in seasons and the gyres have deep effects after the new rather than the full moons... poetry as much in the afterglow as foreplay waits impatiently in anticipation...thus little bird the old saying that the price the gods exact for our songs is that we become the song we sing....
