Late chirping call able to startle
the rinse of weary sunset
mingling with clouds
filtering the charm
offered by sky artist...
Dark-eyed Junco,
the family of sparrows,
the family of sparrows,
on the thin limbs
announces its departure,
tries the last bit of grass seed,
and disappears…
Spring has come.
