Attracted to the flame that burns…

I invoke the fire in
my stillness,
sense of detachment, and deaf,
stiff monotonous lives
broke…
to release the stress,
battlefield’s agonized/moribund
bodies and souls…
now aroused,
querying: what were those wounds,
still alike vagabond in the veins/blood,
fed into cells,
programmed veracity…

  1. I would never want to fall prey to the programming
perhaps a bit more of that fire is in order
    a revolution thing

  10. I think we are programmed but have the ability to over ride. Warning bells may ring but had we listened to them we would still be hiding from bears in caves rather than multinationals in supermarkets.

  11. To invoke the fire within us and escape programming sounds like freeing oneself of old shackles.

  12. "I invoke the fire in my stillness"---love the contrast inherent within this statement because we don't typically think of there being 'fire' in stillness. Cool concept.
