In the car of ginny
gotten of the bottle
feelings burst…
All dressed up,
three wishes – gone,
captured. Next step – unsettled…
After all, life comes to rustling leaves, days-dry…
with a deck of ‘if’,
bittersweet tears,
and no stopping monkey-mind,
calling ‘blasphemy’
every step and try…
While I’d
recall
the chain of
signs,
symbols’
prophecy.
Light wind
chime
through the
sea shells
singing jive…
After all, life
comes to simple ways facing sky…
whole, born
in

desire
to the will
to
keeping dawn
alive
in the sun
& rainy day
within…
within…

I so enjoyed this flow and the images your conjured here---
ReplyDeleteI like the "monkey mind", the wind chimes and especially "the will to keeping dawn alive."
ReplyDeleteI like the idea that life comes to simple ways facing sky.....I always find that sort of return to simplicity when in nature, when facing sky or mountain or in the outdoors.
ReplyDeleteGreat poem !! Perhaps life is simple and human complicated!
ReplyDeleteOh to have those 3 wishes back!

Dawn is hard to keep alive with shadows falling however the heart will have its way.
ReplyDeleteBeing optimistic is a good habit to chase those shadows away..
ReplyDeletewhat ifs will always be a part of our lives. and there's no escaping that.
ReplyDeleteLight wind chime
ReplyDeletethrough the sea shells

Being able to appreciate the wilds of nature that comes through sounds from the sea shells can be enduring and exhilarating! Great lines humbird!

Sun and rain within can sometimes work out well..a cool refreshing burst of water to shield us from its force
ReplyDeleteAll our parts make us whole - even the dreams of night or day that challenge our being.
ReplyDeleteNice use of the word list too.
This is a very cool piece, it has style and depth. I can't stop my monkey mind either
