ReplyDeletethat first one is pretty cool...the minimalism gives us just a hint
ReplyDeleteof what is happening but i can fill in the rest...
i read inkheart...smiles.
I haven't read Inkheart. Now I hardly need to, you ccnvey so much in your few words!
ReplyDeleteI like these - just enough to let the mind fill in the details. I'm off to reserve Inkheart from the library
ReplyDeleteWonderful concentration.. Many senses activated and I like what I can fill between. If I had read the book it would have been all different.
ReplyDeleteI like all of them, but the first is my favourite. IT says so much with so few words!
ReplyDeletemy fav is the one with the castle and the selfish giant - sounds like there's a story behind...
ReplyDeleteso many characters around this castles beautifully blended.
ReplyDeleteI admire the short verses, and I think a bigger stories are coming, smiles ~
ReplyDeleteI created 3 stories in my head.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd one was familiar as I have read the Selfish Giant story in which he blocks children from his garden & the garden loses its life. It revives after he allows kids!
I really enjoyed the first verse and the pic is haunting..takes me somewhere quick.
ReplyDeleteOh, oh. I love short stories too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe picture fits your poem so well. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteAnd the story and the mood emerge, with these well placed words.
