Morning Glory

Briskly reeling along trees & bushes the misty streams prevail the common sense. Blowing the yearning through the vessels/hose the air mass drives doubts seeds in their grounding intention to the earth.
While repentant martyrs stones desperately ask fiery dawn of forgiveness, a chance to start over, - the bathed spray/healed troubles slide sonorously back into the heart’s crevices,

infusing music
ancient sitar witnesses joy
first drop on leaf palm

Shadow

– Menoevil - devianart ~ Photochallenge #59

Abruptly, as if slung by someone’s invisible hand, far afield,
a flock of black crows sliced the silence, highlighting
free space, having driven the shadows to the sides…

Weightless, she was ready to break away into height,
caw in same tongue, excitedly pecking to west…

Since that moment, an impalpable bitterness - the black
crow has settled on her shoulder, recalling the olden
emotions and yearning...

and she herself existed between the shadows:
dark - where declogging took place, bright - open to
diaphanous purified souls for further embodiment…

Fit in

Is there real difference between a cat
sitting on the branch of tree under the sky
and – under the grand piano cover?

To fit in the corner of the world, big or small
surrounded by strings, hummers and the soul
waiting for sounds, when the hummer moves
to hit the spot…

What can the cat channel, chewing on wooden peg?
A pitch becomes new mantra- even beasty cancer receding…

The music – only? thing the cat cheats on humans,-
talking of unspeakable turbulent emotions’ release.

Life cycle

Evergreen conifer mighty cedar easily sheds the snow
from its downward-drooping limbs
while the child, cute in a cap, neglects the stillness,
enjoys the white lumps on the hardy shoulders,
playing with kids snowballs, wearing Christmas trinkets.

Old cedar sighs, conjures the spirits of the forest sent
the curious Jay,followed/carried by East wind;  who has
loved the welcoming twigs, hasn’t flied/bent too far from
the nest, broke up the cone before the tree…

The parent twined/curled the roots around the child’s,
backed him up,watching through the maturity time, and
the cycle continues…

Steps

It was dreadful day. Mom disapproved his new relationship.
Upset, lonely Toady decided to run.  But where?
Not far from home he noticed the steps. ‘Nice way to escape’.

Hastily skipping up, just in last moment he has noticed familiar
figures of …parents, looked toward him.
‘Welcome!’ -  invited the sign in their hands.

Reading the sign, Toady unconsciously touched it. Next moment
he felt sustained by clay, connected all three toads…

Toady has done fixing figurine. What the surprise for the  fiancé!
She’ll definitely approve his work.

Treasure

He cemented the dreams under ground. But they found him.
Alleged by third parties, concealing the maneuvers, he took
life day by day, stacking  profits, creating new niche
above  the market place.
But they found his warehouse anyway.
Finally he was proposed. Joyfully accepting the role of
treasurer Squeaky the Squirrel  shared  acorns with  friends.

Nice place

She said: It’s nice place.
He said: If we get meal on time.

She: Ah, happy faces!
He: Don’t twist your neck!

She: They all look at me!
He: Take off your glasses.

She: Why door’s closed?
He: All tickets are sold.

                  ~ * ~
He: Have all tickets been sold?
She: Yep, the door – closed.

He: Take off your glasses!
She: But all are looking at me!

He: Haven’t you hurt the neck?
She: Ah, happy faces!

He: Do we get ever meal on time?
She: What a nice place…

Z-z-zest

They worshiped the Queen. On exact time, every noon
on sharp edge of sunny hillside, swarm of bees
spilled the honeycombs.
Queen then visited every patch, laid on flowers and grass,
degustating. ‘Z-z-zest’, - repeatedly flew to heaven…

Unbidden aliens appeared as hail that noon:
-         click, click! - springing on Pogo sticks from flower to flower,
-         click, click! – collecting honey through trunks,
-         click, click! – pouring it into tube on the hip.
They looked like ghosts wearing white cloaks with sticking out antennas.

‘Honey, your friends outside waiting,’- buzzed the Queen.
Archie in amazement opened eyes: ‘Do they wear white cloaks?’
Mom enigmatically smiled. Yellow and black strips on her apron moved in vibrant dance.

Steady

not my  student

'Play steady', - aka 'live steady'. In balance.
Is it possible? Who can...
He's trying to follow my instruction -
to raise the wrist while climbing 'roll ups'
with fingers, cheeks getting blush (anger?),
eyes – pregnant of tears, boiling...
oh, boy...- 'please, go wash your face',
(and all fear), - I send him to bathroom (my student)...
so many times praying: 'don't take
my advise too close...we're working...
mastering skills...scales are tricky...
you have to be ready to walk along
invisible line – to sound steady...'

The Law of 3 claws

The Moth and the Lamp, Cesar Santos

Bizarre rash of apples happened this fall, when wind came to rule the roost in the grove. Toll pile of new homes was filled by the end of the day.
From cradle yet babies have learned the Law of 3 claws:
fight tooth and claw , when claw your way to the top, and keep/get
the claw into fortune.
Many chose to live as exiles in the secret of metamorphosis.
The sophisticated chrysalises  swayed in whistling  waves of shepherd wind’ stories. Their vibrant images  penetrated through elastically transparent skin, fascinated virgins.

One story  - about tiger moth, produced ultrasonic clicks with its body to confuse bats by jamming their sonar. Another –  a story of Madagascar moth, who could win the prize for the unique reaching 14 inches tongue.

Archie had no clues how to get out to free himself. Once, when he fell asleep- the spirits with wings surrounded him with words: “It’s very bright. Be careful!”
Peering in their faces ….

An awakening has stunned, burning smoke got a hold of all senses…

- Informed the brochure he brought  from the local library.

Oh, smiling face

Vibrant, easygoing, he approached people and the routine
in a blink of eye, tolerating with dignity freezing pause in
response or acrylic nails’ knock, echoing whole day in the brain…

Handsome, with bursting smile, always ready to turn in choleric
laugh, this man has become the walking example of the best…

Today at the director' office, facing the fact of extraordinary
business trip, feeling as if stepped in icy water, he inadvertently
dropped his face: ‘What the…’

Little sparks spilled all over the room…

When his great soul had shriveled to fit back to body,
frustrated teacher has found himself in the midst of hysterically
laughing colleagues…

Archie the Worm

That day, when I wandered after first autumn rain
along the fresh glowing on the sun puddles,
Archie seemed has been busy observing
an apple stalk, thrown by someone in a puddle.

Large spotted ladybug perched on the top of it,
as if glued, ignoring sliding juicy surface.
On the side below, two ants teamed up working hard
sawed the piece to take out for breakfast.
A colorful butterfly fluttered above them,
looking for the spot to land.

Nobody noticed an appearance of Archie the Worm…

He froze for while swaying into melancholy
of doubt: to come or not to come closer…
Following the ripples in the puddle, it was easy
to guess his thoughts…

To come now would be a blunder. Archie
cringed just imagined as if in a dream
the scene with a Ladybug slowly falling
at him, squashing his guts…

Zigzagging his ring-shaped torso
Archie framed the puddle in digress.
One more chapter’s completed.

Archie was a Book Worm.

Grey Days

I parted the curtains. Sky struck me with bruising
hues, flowed chaotically, formed amazing maze
with no exit…

The light waned from time to time.
Migrating pouty clouds slided annoyingly
back and forth.

Head started spinning. No balance…
Lied down. Closed eyes.
But still seeing them…

What the challenge
to keep the balance,
even for weather…

Sun’s golden ray in disgust reached the curtain,
hiding ironical smile: soon wadded blessing
will be released for good.

Pensive leaf

Serenity comes later. Yet grown up enough, visible to
surrounded mature trees, a leaf fearlessly opens up
 plates for sun's reading pleasure.

Anticipating the  pigment change it’s inhaling joy
while vibrant light  runs through  veins.

The leaf furls, trembling of all belated doubts whispering
by mockingbird wind, blocked by life texture…

A pain

As if a mermaid, who just got her new couple of legs,
she lived every step in pain, gently touching the base,
and once reached the nerve of issue,
stepped aside to find a new one…

Places and things kept the scars of her touch
feeling/being never the same again.
Her voice cut through in a rare moment
at climax discovering truth…

It’s a pain brought her to place, where she heard
forgotten song…
No doubt. She spoke from the heart. It felt like in
dream coming home…

Love washed over suddenly. Stretched horizon
and smile on her face. The sky have been changed.
Affirmations flashed at twilight.World opened
new doors…

Former ‘mermaid’ though bore in mind original
reason for her transformation…

In the blink of an eye...

…as slowly moving curtain my eyelids fell…
Green circles floated before eyes. It felt as something distinct, new.
Air filled with lilac scent and distant music. Sullen thoughts gracefully settled down…
Swaying thin voice encouragingly repeated: “You can do it. You can do it…”
Hands found plastic rounded surface…
Blink! Blink! - as if a puppeteer pulled the string.

The honked car behind me sounded very irrationally…
