Art by Danny Gregory
Keep the morning tea
warm,
all the rest remnant
pieces
throw away to the ants’
joy.
I remember sea storm,
late breakfast
as if last one,
coy.
Mix for new friend
a cocktail,
fashioned swimsuit –
worn,
set the fruit & fish
table,
yet, keep a tea
warm.
Let a wind
to chase a
seagull,
blow the hat
and news…
Sudden,
my appearance
tricks you –
warm tea spilling
blues.

Above all keep the tea warm.. but I might jump directly to cocktails.
ReplyDeleteHaha! To have so much to share is great ...so what if there is one llittle obsession? I too rue the spilling of the tea!
ReplyDeleteI guess...Danny Gregory knows better...Smiles
Deletenice...perhaps something will lap up the spilt tea...I really like the tossing the scrap to the animals...that way it does not go to waste...I do that at our house...I look at it as a way of giving back....
ReplyDeleteKeep the tea warm and surely the blues will go away, smiles ~
ReplyDeleteThe message of keeping a tea warm is so very comforting. We do need to keep a tea warm for one another!
ReplyDeleteKeep the morning tea warm... I like the sharing I read in your words, humbird. The world needs more of this.
ReplyDeleteLovely !
ReplyDeleteKeep the tea warm and it will soothe the blues..
ReplyDeleteThere is a soothing flow in this, a rhythm accented a bit with the one-word lines and the repetition of the injunction to keep the tea warm--that can mean so many things.
ReplyDeletesharing what we've got with those around us - those in need - those that deserve and those that don't ... yeah - def. good to keep that tea warm
ReplyDeleteKeeping it warm can allow our resolve to be shared all the time. Great policy to keep humbird!
