Wasn't it odd?
tracing the patterns,
curves
through vicinity -
pond erring
shorebirds
on the mudflats,-
we pandered
our whimsy.
Wandered on dunes,
between the cabins,
the distance -
illusion,
natural wonders
behind
the thin wall
of a reason...

Sometimes watching doesn't always need a reason
ReplyDeleteI think many times the reason is a mere illusion though

ReplyDeleteI enjoy the patterns you place in poem of natural wonders.

Like the soft and pondering tone here. Nature has a way of doing that, doesn't it?

You don't need a reason to walk on the beach to watch the sea and the birds it is a gift.
ReplyDeleteSometimes reason can be a thin wall - maybe at times that is good as spontaneity can be positive and lead us to bright things
ReplyDeletefunny, I took a photo very similar to this (with a pair of sandpipers) just a few weeks ago... sorry for coming by to visit so late - thanks for adding your voice to the prompt... ~
