My thoughts, turning southward,
donkey to play a new music,
but
a twenty-year consolation
to old soil soul
in short feeble breath,
leaning to purple lavender candle
to clean the mystical hollow passageway,
open to pestilence or blessings…

ReplyDeleteThe pestilence of blessings.. that one really hit home for me.
ReplyDeleteStill do ;-)
DeleteThere's a subtle art in being open either to pestilence or blessings. Some days I'm open to one, some days the other, although I fear the pestilence usually outweighs the blessings.
ReplyDeleteThe dry parched land has waited long enough for any consolation .
