Strata

 Notte-silenzisa
Art by Floriana Quaini

The fabric, transitional souls,
the laundry of thinned strata
so flimsy yet vulnerable
conscious offer
luminous reflection
to cope with density
hungry crafted
unable to relax, toxic
three-dimensional world,
firmly kneaded in
scold/scoff rightness
tense.

  1. Flimsy, vulnerable--yes--how to get rid of the tense layer to complete the transition? I am not sure I understand all the strata here, but I understand that the 3-D world makes enlightenment near impossible no matter the level of hunger. Gosh. Do people hide to let their light glow? Like the moon, can they only show reflection? Powerful poem, got me thinking!

    1. You're absolutely right, Susan! Our 3d world has to be transformed to 5-6-7 dimensions to embrace the variety of whole simultaneously....they say that the physical body never existed with soul before before times....where was no density... ~ I think our light shines more through now...even if you look in the mirror - notice.... so we Are becoming luminous.... ~ Thanks for prompt and questions too :)x

  2. A very powerful poem indeed! Agree with Susan here... the poem certainly gets you deep into concentration and debate on the mysteries of the world the soul yet has to explore!
    Beautifully written :D

  4. The tension between material and immaterial... this world makes it hard to shine.

  5. We all are souls and our bodies are vessels holding those souls

  6. Your clipped style poem echoes the tenseness of the character depicted. Loved the picture by Floriana Quaini.

  7. I could feel the tension and density of thought and emotion running through all the stratas

  8. Yrs the strata of who we are is always flimsy, but it can be stronger if we learn about ourselves.

  9. We never were bodies neither are...illusion makes us think like that..We are pure consciousness and abstract and therefore luminous...in the opinion of Eastern philosophers....a thought provoking piece Humbird...

  11. It does get my mind to thinking, what my soul has already figured it out. It runs well along the path of where my real thoughts are lately!

  13. The kneading image is very strong to me; I see giants pounding people to morph them into their ideals, with each movement, the soul hardens, like overworked dough.

  14. I really like the "transitional souls" and "thinned strata" - such a feeling of luminosity here.

  15. The fabric is surreal, perhaps it is never meant to be worn for long ~

  16. I love your underlying metaphor of fabric here. The imagery is starkly emotive.

  17. The way to enlightenment seems to require a lot of peeling... May we all find the strength, time and patience to get to the center.

  18. Humbird,

A very complicated world in which we strive to exist. Nothing simple any more. That tenseness between hearts, souls and requirements, otherwise being scolded...Enlightenment might assist in future times...
