I thought if I would wear the suit
of green poke-prickly tree,
you’d find the goal for New Year roll
with ease of nosy bee…
But all set up to fly the sky
you stare from podium:
squeezed tight, blur sight imagined kite,
forgetting ground adieu…

Nice rhyming away there, and just reach for the sky and one can fly, or crash and burn haha
ReplyDeleteLovely --- so sorry the kite flew away! Thanks for participating! Bastet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for prompt!
DeleteI like that idea of wearing a green poke-prickly tree suit! This all flows well together!
ReplyDeletehey when the wind takes your kite, you just got to go with it...but its best to keep at least one foot on the ground to keep a foundation
ReplyDeleteThe ending makes me sad really...if someone forgets the ground adieu it is no small thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary for pointing the ending...its strangely came here starting on funny grotesque note....
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought the kite decided to wear the tree, as kites are apt to do. But, that would be a perfect place to fly a kite. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for an idea, Debi! Perhaps....it will be a new story....thanks again :)x
DeleteI felt like a kite, flying away from the ground ~ I like the imaginative take ~
ReplyDeletefun piece filled with motion
ReplyDeleteThat'd be me too! :-D
ReplyDeleteOne can only wait so long for roll call in front of a podium .... especially when one has the wings and tail to fly! and is not a tree!
ReplyDeleteHere the hope! Thanks, Susan!
DeleteNicely told. Wonderful written. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining my blog! x
DeleteSometimes those bare arms barely move and yet other times they sway all day.
ReplyDelete(In our winters here... This morning some swayed with the weight of the squirrels which I hadn't seen for a few days - it was just too cold!)
Would if we all could just for moments forget the ground...
Nicely done. Thanks so much for stopping by my verse.
We had such strong winds here the last 24 hours so I can easily see that dragon's lost.
ReplyDeleteit would be nice to go flying a bit and see the world from above... def. gives a different perspectives and puts things in relation
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of wearing the suit of a "green poke-prickly tree"!

ReplyDelete-HA
Sometimes people who have their eyes set on their ambitions forget those who always knew them and never take the time for adieus.
ReplyDeleteExactly so! Thanks.
DeleteWearing the suit of tree might be rather nice as trees stand for strength. May you have strength in the new year.
ReplyDeleteStrength - this is what we all need with 2015 = (2+1+5=8). Thanks Truedessa!

A thoughtful idea has been captured in this short form.
ReplyDeleteBut all set up to fly the sky....
ReplyDeleteO.K then...Bon Voyage!
sometimes it's difficult to focus especially if something deviates from our plans.
ReplyDeleteyou have to embrace it. :-)
Thank you so much for all so inspiring comments! It seems, we all need this 'kite' to get motivated and reach to heaven keeping ground under feet.
ReplyDeleteI like the imagery you've created here. Very nice!
