Alive, we're descending…
a script on the wall
rewires…
with new perception,
and when arrive
the guardian meets
with oil chandelier
& phrase:
what took you so long…
New pair of wings,
unknown
serrated
tuxedo,
and sudden
shift of
dimensions
to fly thru…
rx square on
crossing Mercury/Neptune
to test/taste
the clairs...
inward turned eyes…
Where hardship & lesson,
there – gifts from the gods…
if only we dare
to question…

Such a sense of hope and inspiration in your words...if only we dare, yes, forward we move!
ReplyDeleteHave to look within to improve without without a doubt
ReplyDeleteWe must always question - i think that is probably one of the most important things of being alive...
ReplyDeleteI love the shift, where we have to face outward and inward and YES this confrontation/meeting is a gift. Very Special Poem!
ReplyDeleteWe are on the backside, and that is some relief from the heat. Although I imagine when we get to the bottom of the hill we would not mind some of this heat again. Ha. What took you so long. Ha. Well, I am finally arrived.
ReplyDeleteThere is a chill in this and ominous reality. Makes you consider your own mortality.
ReplyDeleteSuch good lines - "the guardian meets....what took you so long." and the "sudden shift in dimensions". I love the aura of other worlds in this poem.
ReplyDeleteLike the idea of a new pair of wings - though we don't know where they will take us.
ReplyDeleteWhere hardship & lesson,
ReplyDeletethere – gifts from the gods…
if only we dare
to question…
Loved the closing lines :D Beautifully executed :D
Day after expectations recessed.. Can relate. Enjoyed..
ReplyDeleteI like "inward turned eyes"...we need to possess that...
ReplyDeleteA lovely write!
ReplyDeleteYes, inner reflection can only lead to authenticity.
ReplyDeleteThat has always been mankind's gift and problem, to question everything.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....Love these lines..
ReplyDelete"with new perception,
and when arrive
the guardian meets
......
...and sudden
shift of
dimensions
to fly thru…"---the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates!! I think, with age I have become more internal ...more oriented... more reflective. This poem resonates with me.Beautifully penned...
Yes, while we can get our heads around hardship being a lesson, it is difficult to take a step further and see it as a gift.
ReplyDeleteYes questioning is an important step in wisdom.
ReplyDelete...gifts from the gods...like it
ReplyDeleteYour poem is very wise and I like the words, the pace you chose. I must admit though, I'm not fond of those hardship lessons from the gods.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of having new pair of wings...so many dimensions to fly about ~
ReplyDeletesummer had a long pause here and it was getting rainy and frickin cold again - glad he arrived finally - you know - even though it's going downstairs again - sigh
ReplyDeleteI hope that thou it turns darker already that the summer soon will start.. serrated tuxedo.. like that.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, if we dare to question and know the right question to ask, the answer matters little... I felt like going through a maze while reading this, but was glad to have reached its centre in those closing lines.
